Citizenship applications can be made in several ways, and you may be eligible to apply

• By Descent – if at least one parent of a child born outside Australia is an Australian citizen.
• Conferral – for Australian permanent residents who have resided in Australia and meet the required timeframe and wish to apply for citizenship.
• Adoption.
• Resumption – a person who previously held citizenship and wants to reinstate their Australian Citizenship.
